Recreation Plan

Every 5 years, communities throughout Michigan update their recreation plans to ensure they qualify for annual Michigan Department of Natural Resources (MDNR) funding opportunities.

The 5-year recreation plan must adhere to a format defined by the MDNR and outline priority goals, objectives, and projects with the potential to be completed within the 5-year window and beyond.

This plan will help improve our existing parks while establishing new recreational opportunities. Our priority is to both our residents and the future economy of outdoor recreation and tourism.
