City Council

The Negaunee City Council is the elected representative body of the City of Negaunee. The council consist of seven members: six council members and the mayor. The Council’s duties include the following: adopting ordinances and resolutions, setting financial policy, setting fee schedules, adopting budgets, issuing debt, entering into contracts and employing a city manager; among other powers granted by the City Charter and by the State of Michigan. The council meets on the second Thursday of each month at 6:30 pm at the Negaunee Senior Center.
