Zoning Board of Appeals
Overview
The Zoning Board of Appeals is a five-member board. The board is a quasi-judicial body that hears and decide appeals of administrative decisions made in implementing the zoning ordinance and to hear and decide requests for variances from the strict terms of the zoning ordinance. The board meets as needed.
Additional duties have been assigned by City Council to the ZBA that are not typically handled by the ZBA. These duties include to hear and decide on administrative decisions while implementing the Negaunee Property Maintenance Code and the Negaunee Rental Code.
