Traffic Change - S. Baldwin Ave, N. Brown Ave, Cherry St, and Mitchell St

Effective Monday 7/27/2026, the intersection of S. Baldwin Ave, N. Brown Ave, Cherry St. and Mitchell St. will become a FOUR-WAY STOP.  Please be aware of the upcoming changes and be mindful around that intersection while everyone gets accustomed to it.

This change to traffic is part of the community recommendations from the $738,000 Safe Routes to School grant received by the City of Negaunee.  Safe Routes to School is an international movement and a federal program to make it safe, convenient, and fun for children, including those with disabilities, to bicycle and walk to school.  The project adds and connects sidewalks to Lakeview Elementary, Negaunee Middle School and Negaunee High School.
