Invitation to Bid - Stump Grinder

INVITATION FOR BIDS

 

The City of Negaunee is accepting sealed bids at 319 W. Case Street, Negaunee, Michigan, 49866 until 1:00pm ET on Tuesday, March 1, 2022 for Stump Grinder.  Bids will be received by the City of Negaunee and addressed to: Negaunee City Clerk, City of Negaunee, P.O. Box 70, 319 W. Case Street, Negaunee, MI 49866. Bids must be clearly marked “Stump Grinder” on the outside envelope of sealed bid.

 

The bid will consist of providing, setting up, and performing on-site demonstration / training of a stump grinder attachment.  The stump grinder shall be capable of attaching to the City’s Wacker Neuson Loader. Equipment shall be delivered to Negaunee Public Works (600 Cherry Street, Negaunee, MI 49866) on or before June 1, 2022.  Specifications are attached.

 

Bids will be reviewed by the City of Negaunee to determine which model/cost stump grinder works best for the City of Negaunee’s needs.  To assist in the evaluation of bids, the City of Negaunee may perform a site visit for demonstration of stump grinder at no additional cost.

 

Interested Bidders can call the Negaunee Public Works Mechanic for questions arising during bidding or for more information.

 

There shall be a 90-day bid hold.

Stump Grinder Bid Specifications

Below are the specifications for a stump grinder wacker neuson wheel loader attachment. The specifications are as follows:

Stump Grinder Attachment Specifications:

  • Minimum Cutting Diameter of 30 inches
  • Minimum Cutting Depth of 6 inches below ground
  • Minimum Cutting Arc of 48 inches
  • Minimum Cutting Wheel Diameter of 24 inches
  • Minimum Cutting Wheel Speed of 900 RPM
  • Must have replaceable carbide teeth
  • Must include wire harness with attachment controls
  • Must include HF coupler and case drain coupling
  • Must include one set of replacement teeth

  • Wacker Neuson Wheel Loader WL37
  • High Flow Hydraulics 33gpm
