General Notice
 
The City of Negaunee (Owner) is requesting Bids for the construction of the following Project:
 
Phase 1 Water Project
N10-19591
2022 Materials Procurement
 
Bids for the construction of the Project will be received at the Negaunee City Hall located at 319 W Case
Street, Negaunee, MI 49866, until (ADDENDUM 1 - May 3rd at 3 pm eastern time). At that time the Bids received will be
publicly opened and read.
 
 
The Project includes the following Work:
Procurement of the materials list as summarized below:
 
  • 500' of 6" Ductile
  • 4,500' of 8" Ductile
  • 150' of 10" Ductile
  • 400' of 8" HDPE
  • 20 hydrants
  • 4,000' of 1" Copper
  • 100 corps and curb stops with boxes
  • 25 6" gate valves and box
  • 25 8" gate valves and box
  • 50 mega-lugs

The materials shall meet the specifications requirements outlined in the N10-19591 Negaunee Phase 1
Water Project specifications.
 
American Iron and Steel
 
Section 746 of Title VII of the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2017 (Division A - Agriculture, Rural
Development, Food and Drug Administration, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, 2017) and
subsequent statutes mandating domestic preference applies an American Iron and Steel requirement
to this project. All iron and steel products used in this project must be produced in the United States.
The term “iron and steel products” means the following products made primarily of iron or steel: lined
or unlined pipes and fittings, manhole covers and other municipal castings, hydrants, tanks, flanges,
pipe clamps and restraints, valves, structural steel, reinforced precast concrete, and Construction
Materials.
 
The following waivers apply to this Contract:
De Minimis,
Minor Components,
Pig iron and direct reduced iron, and
.
GOVERNMENT FUNDING
 
Financing for this project is being provided by the United States of America acting through Rural
Development of the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Rural Development will, therefore, require
approval by its representatives of all Contracts, attachments, and similar documents, all partial and
final payments, and all change orders. Davis Bacon wage rates are not required for this project.
