NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON THE 

NEGAUNEE DOWNTOWN DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY

BOUNDARY EXPANSION

 

 

TO ALL INTERESTED PERSONS IN THE CITY OF NEGAUNEE

 

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the City Council of the City of Negaunee, Marquette County, Michigan, will hold a public hearing on October 10, 2019 at 7:00 p.m., Eastern Daylight Time, at the Senior Citizens Center located at the intersection of Jackson and Tobin Street, Negunee, Michigan, to consider an ordinance to expand the boundaries of the Negaunee Downtown Development Authority pursuant to Act 57 of the Public Acts of Michigan of 2018

 

The boundaries of the existing and proposed DDA Districts are depicted in on the map.  The existing DDA District is outlined in green and the proposed extension is highlighted in red.  The proposed extension of the DDA District can be  generally described as follows:

 

Properties east the downtown (Tobin Street) extending to the west City jurisdictional line with the City of Ishpeming, properties north of the rail line and US-41 and several properties along US-41 adjacent to the Teal Lake Road intersection.

 

At the public hearing, all interested persons desiring to address the City Council will be afforded an opportunity to be heard in regards to this proposal.

 

PERSONS REQUIRING REASONABLE ACCOMMODATION TO DISABILITIES IN ORDER THAT THE HEARING BE ACCESSIBLE TO THEM ARE REQUESTED TO NOTIFY THE CITY CLERK NO LATER THAN 5 BUSINESS DAYS PRIOR TO THE DATE OF THE HEARING OF SUCH DISABILITY.
