NOTICE – Water Main Replacement Birch Street

For Birch Street Residents –

The City of Negaunee will be replacing the Water main on Birch Street from Baldwin Ave. to Hungerford Ave. The contract was awarded on June 14th to Associated Constructors. The Contractor may start moving equipment and signage to the job site starting Monday, June 18th, 2018. The work will involve Water Main replacement and service lines up to the customer curb stop, some sidewalk and curb/gutter where service lines are located, and road replacement.

As with most construction work in residential areas, this project will cause you some inconveniences. Most likely there will be some dust issues and loud construction activities taking place. Access to your property may be affected as will on street parking. The City will work with the contractor to keep these to a minimum. During construction the City and the contractor will hold regular progress meetings and inform residents on the project.
