Tax Year Calendar 2023/2024

Summer Property Taxes:

Summer property taxes will be mailed out on June 30, 2023 and are payable beginning July 1, 2023.  Summer property taxes, as well as personal property are due by September 14, 2023 without penalty fees. Beginning September 15, 2023 penalty fees will be calculated and compounded on a monthly basis.


Winter Property Taxes:

Winter property taxes will be mailed out on November 30, 2023 and are payable beginning December 1, 2023.  Winter property taxes, as well as personal property are due by February 14, 2024 without penalty fees.  All unpaid property taxes as of February 28, 2024 will immediately be turned over to the County as delinquent at the start of business on March 1, 2024 for collections without exception.

Last date for summer tax payments to be received in our office without penalty.  A postmark of September 14th will be accepted to avoid a penalty.

December 30, 2023

Last date for payments to be received in our office to have a 2022 posting date for tax purposes.

February 14, 2024

Last date for winter tax payments to be received in our office without penalty.  A postmark of February 14th will be accepted to avoid a penalty.

February 28, 2024Final due date to pay taxes at City Hall by 4pm.
March 1, 2024
All unpaid property taxes are turned over to Marquette County as delinquent for collections on this date at the start of the business day.  Property taxes will no longer be collected at City Hall.  Only personal property will be collected.

Penalty Calculation:

Penalty is calculated on TAX amount only. The 1% ADMINISTRATION FEE is not included in the penalty calculation.

End of Calendar Year Receipts:

Payments must be received in our office before December 29th to receive a posting date within that same calendar year.


Tax Receipts:

If you require a paid receipt, please submit a self-addressed stamped envelope. Please retain the bottom half of your statement for your records whether or not a receipt is needed.
