Public Notice - Master Plan Public Review

The draft of the City of Negaunee Master Plan for 2023-2028 is now available for public review. The draft Master Plan is the result of more than three years of work by the Planning Commission, City staff, and CUPPAD.

The objective of the Master Plan is to guide local leaders in decision making and future development in the City. The plan will guide public policy and priorities in Negaunee over the next five years. On April 26, the Planning Commission and the City Council approved the draft for public review. A 63-day public review period will begin on May 3, ending on July 5, per the requirements of the Michigan Planning Enabling Act. The draft 2023 Master Plan with goals and strategies for the City can be found here on our website. Print versions can be found at the Senior Center, Planning/Zoning Department, City Manager’s Office and the Library.

The Negaunee Planning Commission and CUPPAD will review all comments received, hold a public hearing following the close of the review period on July 5, and a vote on final approval will take place at this time. Any comments and feedback can be directed to Senior Planner, Ryan Soucy, at rsoucy@cuppad.org, or by mailing comments to:
