Notice of Project Plan Public Hearing

The City of Negaunee wil hold a public hearing on the proposed Water System Improvements project for the purpose of receiving comments from interested persons. 

The hearing will be held at 6:00 p.m. on June 28th at the following location: Negaunee Senior Center located at 410 Jackson Street, Negaunee, MI 49866.

The purpose of the proposed project is the removal and replacement of aged and falling water infrastructrure located within the City of Negauneee.

Project construction will involve the removal and replacement of aged and falling infreastructure including lead/galvanized service line removal and replacement.

Impacts of the proposed project include the increased reliability of the water system.

The total proposed project cost is estimated at $2.3 million.

The esitmated cost to users for the proposed project will be around $5 per month per user.
