Summer
property taxes will be mailed out on June 30,
2011 and are payable beginning July 1, 2011.
Summer property taxes, as well as personal property
are due by 4:00pm EST on September 14, 2011
without penalty fees. Beginning September 15,
2011 penalty fees will be calculated and compounded
on a monthly basis.
Winter
property taxes will be mailed out on November
30, 2011 and are payable beginning December 1,
2011. Winter property taxes, as well as
personal property are due by February 14, 2012
by 4:00pm EST without penalty fees. All
unpaid property taxes as of February 28, 2012
will be turned over the County as delinquent on
March 1, 2012 for collections.

Public Act 357 of 2004 changed the collection schedule
for the County General Operating Property tax as follows:
One-third
of the County operating property tax levy will be
collected in July 2005 rather than

utility bills will be mailed on the 17th of the month
with the due date being the 11th of the following month.

- Bundle and tie with twine or place in a paper grocery
bag.
Corrugated Cardboard - Break down boxes flat,
bundle and tie with twine. Cardboard should be clean
and dry.
Clear Glass - Rinse clean, remove caps and rings.
Labels can be left on. NO window glass, light bulbs,
ceramic mugs, dishes or pyrex.
Plastic - CLEAR MILK CONTAINERS ONLY. Rinse clean,
remove caps and rings. Labels can be left on.
Paper - Computer, office stationery, junk mail,
and magazines. Bundle and tie with twine or place in
paper/grocery bag. Do not mix with newsprint.
Metal Food Cans - Rinse clean. Labels can be
left on. (Steel and tin cans are magnetic)
Aluminum - Pie tins, dinner plates, pots and
pans, beverage cans, etc. rinse clean. (non-magnetic)
For
larger items such as furniture and certain appliances,
please use the refuse drop location at the end of E.
Lincoln Street. This site will be open to garbage-paying
residents on the second Thursday of each month from
12pm to 6pm.
