The Negaunee Fire Department is a volunteer department founded in 1868. The department consists of thirty members and five pieces of apparatus headquartered in our historic fire station, built in 1910.

FIRE CHIEF TOM GARDYKO RETIRES

After 35 years of service to the City of Negaunee, Tom Gardyko has retired as Fire Chief of the Negaunee Volunteer Fire Department.  We wish Tom well and thank him for his dedication to our community.

NEW FIRE CHIEF NAMED

Ned Cory, who for the past 15 years has been the Assistant Fire Chief, has been named Fire Chief of the Negaunee Volunteer Fire Department.
